Metal Manufacturing Estimator + Sales Contract Opportunity (1099)

Kelton Manufacturing Corporation is seeking an experienced Metal Manufacturing Estimator with preferred mid- to high-level sales capability to support fabrication and manufacturing projects as an independent contractor (1099).

This opportunity is well suited for professionals experienced in fabrication estimating, manufacturing cost analysis, and vendor sourcing, particularly those who may already work independently or provide consulting services within the manufacturing industry.

The role combines technical estimating responsibilities with optional business development participation, allowing qualified candidates to expand their involvement and earning potential over time.

Business development participation is optional but strongly encouraged for candidates with existing industry relationships.

    The Opportunity

Kelton Manufacturing supports custom fabrication projects that often require thoughtful estimating across multiple fabrication processes, materials, and subcontracted operations.

    Projects frequently involve combinations of:

    • welded assemblies
    • sheet metal fabrication
    • outsourced machining or forming
    • secondary finishing or coating processes
    • multi-component fabrication builds requiring supplier coordination

Accurate quoting in these environments requires practical understanding of real fabrication costs, supplier pricing, and manufacturability considerations.

We are particularly interested in estimators who enjoy:

    • analyzing fabrication challenges
    • identifying cost drivers
    • building reliable estimates that support competitive and profitable projects
